Reno Open Martial Arts Tournament

Reno Nevada Open Martial Arts Tournament is slated for the spring according to tournament organizers, Reno Nevada News..."This spring we are bringing together all styles of martial arts for an open martial arts exposition and tournament in Reno, Nevada. The winners, will take away the usual medals and awards, and some are going to walk away with come big cash prizes" the organizers said, "We wanted to see all martial art schools in Reno from the Karate schools, Kung Fu, Tae Kwon Do, Judo, Aikido, JuJutsu... all styles at this years competition. Each style will be judged by their own masters and judges of other schools."

This First Reno Martial Arts Exposition scheduled for April 22, 2006 has more than $1000 in cash and prices up for grabs. The exposition portion of this day long event will have several demonstrations of martial arts skill including a chinese lion dance and weapon demonstration, board and brick breaking, kung fu and tai chi weapons demonstration and push hands.

There will be a wide array of martial artists from each school in the area. It is a great time to see each school display its skill and techniques in a common forum.

To win the money portion of the competition you have to be signed up in 4 or more events. Three of these events must be either hand, and/or weapon forms. You must also compete in either: point, continous, or weapon sparring to win overall title. Best total score out of 4 events wins. Tiger Claw Tournament

TIGER CLAW and Disney's Martial Arts Festival have announced the creation of a new national championship of martial arts tournaments. Throughout 2006, 10 qualifying tournaments will take place across the United States. Winners of qualifying tournaments will be eligible to advance to the Tiger Claw Elite National Championship as part of Disney's Martial Arts Festival being held October 27-29, 2006 at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex in the Walt Disney World Resort, near Orlando Florida. TIGER CLAW and Disney's Martial Arts Festival started this new championship so martial arts competitors from different existing circuits, organizations and schools can come together and compete.

The Championship will be advertised in national martial arts focused media, and featured heavily on Tiger Claw's website where competitors will be tracked tournament-by tournament. The champions of the 2006 Elite Championship will be eligible to become featured models for the following year, as well as role models for younger martial artists.
